This handleless mug is part of our All Oopsies collection—pieces that didn’t quite follow the plan but turned out interesting anyway. Thrown by hand from brown speckled stoneware, it features a rich, varying blue glaze on the inside and a playful blue-and-natural-clay checkerboard pattern on the outside.
Here’s the twist: this mug chipped slightly on the rim before glaze firing. The kiln did its thing, sealing the chip completely and locking in a one-of-a-kind imperfection. It’s smooth, food safe, and fully functional—just not cosmetically “perfect.” We think it adds character. The kind you can’t fake.
Because of these visual quirks, All Oopsies pieces are priced lower, making them a great way to own handmade pottery with personality at a friendlier price point.
